Decarbonisation Net Zero Programme

The Decarbonisation Net Zero Programme (in affiliation with Business Energy Advice Service) is now offering over 4,000 free energy assessments to small businesses across the West Midlands, providing tailored recommendations on how to reduce energy usage and costs.

Funded by the UK Government, through the West Midlands Combined Authority, the programme is  being delivered across the West Midlands by a consortium led by Aston University, and by the Black Country Industrial Cluster across the Black Country.

The programme provides:

  • FREE energy assessments/audits
  • Expert advice that provides support for businesses to help them identify cost-effective energy-saving measures and embed low-carbon strategy - via workshops, 1:1 support, events, webinars and podcasts.
  • Grant funding eligible businesses will also be able to apply for between £1,000 and £100,000 of 50% grant funding to implement recommended measures that can reduce their energy demand and provide energy savings.

Energy intensive engineering: In addition to the thousands of free energy assessments for small businesses across the region, specialist assessments are also being delivered for energy intensive engineering firms, undertaken by manufacturing experts.
