The Net Zero Worcestershire Programme offers free Decarbonisation Reviews to eligible Small to Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and organisations in Worcestershire.
The support, delivered by dedicated specialists, will show you how and where to effectively move forward on reducing your carbon emissions and energy costs.
The review will:
With increasing pressures from clients, supply chains to make a change, along with rising energy costs, now is the time to begin your decarbonisation journey.
A specialist will complete a desktop review and provide a summary of the support/ advice.
A specialist will visit your premises to carry out the review. For this level of support, your business or organisation must have a minimum energy spend of £5,000.
This level of assistance supports more complex and specialist decarbonisation projects that require feasibility, specification and project management or decarbonisation reviews of large sites.
A community building is a building with the primary objective to improve the area, neighbourhood, and/ or community and its social welfare and recreation (it can include village halls, community halls, places of worship and youth centres but excludes schools.)
This project is part-funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), the Pilot Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS) and Worcestershire County Council.

The Pilot Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS) offers free energy assessments and grant funding to implement energy efficiency measures to small and medium businesses in the West Midlands. The programme is funded by the Department for Energy Security and Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.
The assessment will provide recommendations for reducing energy costs and saving carbon in your business. This could include measures such as upgrading to energy-efficient lighting or optimising heating systems. Our energy advisors can help you to understand how to turn your sustainability aspirations into measurable actions.
Following an energy assessment, businesses can apply for grant funding:
Grants are awarded on a competitive and match-funded basis, meaning the business will need to provide at least 60% of the total cost of the project.
